Purpose of Study
Randomized, controlled trial of anti-CD3 antibody to preserve insulin secretion in new onset Type 1 diabetes.
Who is Eligible for This Study?
1. Diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes according to ADA criteria within previous 6 weeks.
2. Male or Female 8 to 30 years of age.
3. Weigh at least 39 kg (85.8 lbs)
Time Commitment
Two 14-day periods of drug treatment, each 12 months apart, plus follow-up visits for the next 24 months.
