Frontiers in Diabetes Research Conference
“Obesity, Diabetes and COVID-19 – elucidating the bidirectional links”

 This half-day program is designed for scientists/investigators, students and clinicians with an interest in diabetes.

This conference will focus on recent data on the clinical manifestations of SARS-CoV2 infection, with particular emphasis on the interactions and potential metabolic/genetic mechanistic links relating to susceptibility and clinical outcomes in patients with obesity and pre-existing diabetes. Additional focus areas will include novel treatment paradigms for diabetes in the COVID-19 era, and a look forward towards novel antiviral therapies.
