On November 17 the Columbia University Department of Pediatrics hosted a webinar, Insulin and Innovation: An Update on Type 1 Diabetes Treatments and Research. The panel of pediatric diabetes specialists and scientists from Columbia University Irving Medical Center, the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center, and NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital discussed current thinking about the development of T1D in children, management using the newest technologies, T1D and COVID-19, and research efforts toward a cure. Panelists include Drs. Robin Goland, Rudolph Leibel, Barney Softness, and Natasha Leibel. Moderated by CBS medical correspondent Max Gomez.
